What puts soul, funk, rock and synthesizers all together? The new Waves And Shambles EP from Scarborough, Ont. duo The Carps.

The follow-up to last year's The Young And Passionate Days Of Carpedia EP will be released by Urbnet on April 8.

Carps members Jahmal Tonge and Neil White were nominated for favourite punk/hardcore artist/group or duo at the recent Indie Awards, but lost to Silverstein. They've shared stages across Canada, the U.S. and Europe with The Hives, M.I.A., Lupe Fiasco, The Donnas, K'Naan and The Cool Kids, who contributed a remix of "Heaven's Gates & Hell's Flames" to the EP.
