The National have teamed up with French director Vincent Moon again. The Brooklyn, N.Y.-based band hired the man behind the La Blogotheque Take-Away Shows videos to make a feature film titled A Skin, A Night, which documents the making of their 2007 album, Boxer.

The movie will be released on DVD on May 20 by Beggars Banquet. It will also include a 12-track CD titled The Virginia EP that features demo recordings, a track from last year's Daytrotter session, live songs (including a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "Mansion On The Hill") and B-sides.
Moon has been recruited by many other artists — including Arcade Fire, Beirut, Grizzly Bear, Jose Gonzalez and The Shins — to film their performances for La Blogotheque's Take-Away Shows series.
The National — composed of Matt Berninger, brothers Aaron and Bryce Dessner, and brothers Bryan and Scott Devendorf — are touring with R.E.M. and Modest Mouse.They'll play Vancouver's Deer Lake Park on May 23 and Toronto's Molson Amphitheatre on June 8.
